Driven By Devotion
Did you know that there is a difference between being driven by drive and devotion?
Being driven by drive often roots through capacity and energy; whereas devotion roots out of love and loyalty. Our actions aren’t just based on what feels right or what’s convenient—they’re meant to come from a deep place of devotion to God. This kind of devotion isn’t just about checking boxes or going through the motions. It’s about walking closely with Him and letting His presence shape every part of our lives.
When we’re led by His presence, we stop relying on our own plans and start leaning into His. Moses said it best in Exodus 33:15: “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” That kind of heart posture changes everything. It shifts the way we make decisions, handle challenges, and love others.
In whatever season you’re in (whether leading a team, caring for your family, or figuring out your next step), know that God wants to walk with you. He’s not just giving you instructions from a distance; He’s going with you, guiding each step when you let Him lead.
Let’s learn to live and lead from that place of devotion. Not striving for perfection or recognition, but simply being faithful, present, and obedient. That’s where real impact begins.
When our hearts are devoted and our eyes stay on Him, we’ll find peace, direction, and purpose in every part of the journey.
